The hit show 'A Christmas Story: The Musical' is at The Media Theatre November 9 to January 8. It's suitable for all ages and makes a great outing for families during the holiday season. 

Walnut Street Theatre welcomes back several Philly and Broadway talents for their glorious season opener.

Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 208th season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's Tony Award-winning romantic musical, SOUTH PACIFIC. Directed by Charles Abbott, with choreography by Michelle Gaudette, this production begins previews on September 6th, opens on September 14th and runs through October 23rd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

Act II Playhouse's production of KISS ME, KATE is a show that is imbued with energy and full of delightful musical numbers. It has a sensational score by Cole Porter that will please audiences. This show, under the direction of Peter Reynolds and with the incredible choreography by Maggie Anderson, is a reminder of the timeless melodies of Porter and it has a cast that will entertain audiences. KISS ME, KATE at Act II Playhouse shines and will have members of the audience smiling from start to finish.

This year, Walnut Street Theatre's annual Gala will take place on Friday, May 6. The evening will begin with a one-night-only concert titled Come Hear the Music Play: An Evening of Kander & Ebb. Some of Philadelphia's favorite performers will take the stage to 'Give 'em the old Razzle Dazzle.' Guests will enjoy performances by: Charles Abbott, Sara Brophy, Jennie Eisenhower, Cameron Flurry, Laura Giknis, Lexi Gwynn, Joliet F. Harris, Billy D. Hart, Heidi Hayes, Melissa Joy Hart, Jesse Jones, Liam Keenan, John Charles Kelly, Cambria Klein, Ben Lipitz, Forrest McClendon, Ellie Mooney, Craig Mulhern Jr., Nichalas L. Parker, Owen Pelesh, Lyn Philistine, Fran Prisco, Jenny Lee Stern, Christopher Sutton, Tara Tagliaferro, Denise Whelan and Jacob Wilner. Following the Gala Concert, a sold-out, swanky speakeasy VIP Party will be held on the Thomas Jefferson University Campus in the Jefferson Alumni Hall Atrium.

It's 'Too Darn Hot!' Act II Playhouse in Ambler presents the Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me, Kate, on stage from May 17-June 19, 2016. The classic musical comedy features a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter.

'1776' is on at The Media Theatre through May 22. The Tony winning musical details--with humorous insight and energetic pacing, plus songs like 'Sit Down John', 'Mama Look Sharp' and 'Cool Cool Considerate Men' -- our founding fathers as they create the Declaration of Independence. 11th Hour Theatre Company is heading back to the 80s this Spring with its first commission. The company is finalizing the World Premiere of Michael Ogborn's Field Hockey Hot - its first World Premiere and commission. This gender-bending field hockey musical will run tonight, March 5-22. Opening night is Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m.
