Profiles Theatre Extends JERUSALEM Through May 22

Profiles Theatre announces an extension for its hit production of JERUSALEM by Jez Butterworth, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The critically-acclaimed Midwest premiere opened at Profiles on March 10, 2016 and will extend for an additional four weeks through May 22, 2016.

Profiles Theatre continues its 27th season with the Midwest premiere of the Tony Award-winning smash hit Jerusalem by Jez Butterworth, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahruas. Profiles' production runs at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway, March 4, 2016 through April 24, 2016 with the press opening on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 7:30 pm.

Profiles Theatre continues its 27th season with VICES AND VIRTUES, two full evenings featuring eleven short plays by Resident Artist Neil LaBute, performing in rotating repertory. Each evening features Midwest and World premieres of some of LaBute's newest shorts, staged by individual directors and featuring an ensemble cast of twenty performers. Profiles' production runs at The Alley Stage, 4147 N. For the past two seasons, including the 20th Anniversary production in 2012, Profiles revisited Kern's landmark play for the holiday season. Both productions recevied extended runs and played for over three months. First produced as a late-night show by Famous Door Theatre in 1992, Hellcab was originally scheduled for twelve performances. It ended up running for over nine years, becoming one of the longest running shows in Chicago theatre history. Richard Cotovsky played the Driver for nearly 18 months including return engagements logging in well over two hundred performances to make him one of the longest performing actors to play the Driver during its premiere. Hellcab has been performed all over the U.S. and abroad, including Scotland, Israel, Singapore, and Ireland, winning numerous awards, including a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival. Profiles Theatre Announces HELLCAB's Final Extension thru Feb 24

Profiles Theatre announces the final extension of their hit 20th Anniversary production of Hellcab by Will Kern, directed by Profiles Co-Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox. All cast members are continuing in their roles including Konstantin Khrustov as the driver and the original cast of 33 as the passengers. The production has been selling out since its opening on November 15, 2012 and has now been extended for the second and final time through February 24, 2013, at Profiles Theatre's Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway in Chicago.
