The Broadway Dreams Foundation held its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala last night at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has announced the four-show line-up for its Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series featuring the music works of legendary Broadway writers Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse and two by George S. Kaufman. The roster of Broadway musicals include Two by Two (February 15-17, 2013), Hollywood Pinafore (March 1-3, 2013), Happy Hunting (March 15-17, 2013), and Silk Stockings (March 22-24, 2013) at The York Theatre Company at its home in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Casting will be announced at a later date.

The evening will include festive cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and performances by Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winner Marc Shaiman, BDF Artistic Director Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan, "One Life to Live"), teaching artists Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys), Kirsten Scott (Follies), Morgan James (Godspell), BDF alumni Ryann Redmond (Bring It On The Musical), current Broadway Dreams students from across the country.

York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) presents Broadway's Marc Kudisch (9 to 5; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Jeffry Denman (Irving Berlin's White Christmas; Yank! at the York) in the Off-Broadway premiere of a new holiday variety entertainment, The Holiday Guys in Happy Merry Hanu-Mas, under the music direction of Timothy Splain, for a limited two week engagement, December 18 - 31, 2012 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Due to the overwhelming success of the one-night performance of the hit Off-Broadway musical revue, Starting Here, Starting Now, with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and music by David Shire, The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has added two encore performances on Sunday evenings, December 9th & 16th at 7:30 p.m. at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Singer and songwriter Morgan James will be releasing her debut album Morgan James Live (Epic Records) on December 4th. Recorded at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, an intimate jazz club nestled within New York City's Time Warner Center, the album features James's stirring renditions of standards from the repertoire of Nina Simone.

Tony® Award-winner George Hearn (La Cage Aux Folles, Scandoulous) joins the The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), to honor legendary Broadway Music Director and Conductor Paul Gemignani with the Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre at the 21st Annual Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala to be held next Monday, November 19, 2012 at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

Internationally recognized performing artist and writer, and UMass Dartmouth professor, Mwalim (Morgan James Peters), received funding from the Healy Fund, Osborne Foundation and New England Foundation for the Arts Native Arts Program to pursue the current phase of his Stone Soup project. Using the Federal Theater project of the 1930's as a model, Mwalim is working in cooperation with the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement at UMass Dartmouth and New African Company in Boston to develop community and regionally based theater productions that engage the community as artists and audiences.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) and the company of the hit musical Closer Than Ever will join forces to collect donations following each performance through October 21st to benefit The Avon Foundation for Women in conjunction with the Tenth-Annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer at York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
