Joining Tuesday nights' popular Backstage with Susie Mosher are three new late night events featuring bright and upcoming New York talent:

The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series kicks off the summer with Janet Brenner co-producing Fiction In Photographs, an original musical conceived and directed by Randy Redd, with Book by Dan Elish and Music & Lyrics by Dan Mills. With music direction by Adam Podd, the five-member cast will feature Cole Burden, Van Hughes, David Larsen, Lauren Pritchard and Ali Stroker. The By-Invitation-Only, one performance presentation is set for Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. (The reading will not be held at The York Theatre Company.)

Currently starring in Broadway's Motown: The Musical as Teena Marie and others, Morgan James brings her smoky and soulful renditions of songs from her debut CD to 54 Below, as well as a sampling of tunes you've not yet heard from her. James (The Book of Mormon), Tony Award nominee Judy Kuhn (Passion, Les Miserables, Chess, Rags, Sunset Boulevard, the upcoming album 'All This Happiness'), six-time Emmy Award-winner Bruce Vilanch (TV's 'Hollywood Squares,' Broadway's Hairspray) recently previewed their upcoming 54 Below shows. MOTOWN THE MUSICAL's Tony Award nominated leading lady Valisia LeKae, who stars in the new hit musical based on the life of Motown founder Berry Gordy, recently sat down with NBC's "The Grio" host Chris Witherspoon for a special segment on portraying the legendary Diana Ross for the first time ever on a Broadway stage and playing to standing ovations in the biggest box office hit of the season. MOTOWNGo behind the scenes of the hit new Broadway show MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. WNBC will air a thirty minute "making of" special this Saturday, May 18that 7:00PM, featuring interviews with the stars and creative team, as well as exclusive opening night and backstage footage from the show. Tune into WNBC Channel 4 in the New York metropolitan area.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) has announced the New York premiere of Storyville, a jazzy musical of old New Orleans, with book by Ed Bullins, music and lyrics by Mildred Kayden, direction by Bill Castellino and music direction by William Foster McDaniel. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director), present a one-night only benefit concert celebrating up and coming musical theatre writers, with the NEO 9 on Monday, May 20, 2013 at The York Theatre (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by a champagne and dessert reception to toast the evening.
