Ziemba, McKechnie, McCarthy, Nixon and Others Announced for Barrington Follies

Tony award winners Karen Ziemba and Donna McKechnie, Urinetown's Jeff McCarthy, City of Angels's Leslie Denniston, and Tony-nominated Lara Teeter will star in Barrington Stage Company's production of James Goldman's and Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece Follies. Broadway veteran Marni Nixon will also be featured. Artistic Director Julianne Boyd will direct and Lara Teeter will choreograph. Follies, presented in celebration of Sondheim's 75th birthday, will run from June 23 through July 16 at the Consolati Performing Arts Center, Sheffield, MA.
Stephen Schwartz's 'Captain Louie' To Premiere At York Theatre

Captain Louie, a new family musical with music and lyrics by Academy and Grammy-Award winner Stephen Schwartz, will have its world premiere at The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), May 4 - June 12, produced by The York in association with Meridee Stein, Pam Koslow and Kurt Peterson.

Our Time Theatre Company (Taro Alexander, Artistic Director; Chelsea Lacatena, Associate Artistic Director), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an artistic home for young people who stutter, will hold its Third Annual Benefit Gala and will continue its tradition of honoring a person who has been an inspiration to people who stutter.

Last night, October 27, Career Transition For Dancers (CTFD) presented its 9th Annual Gala - GOTTA DANCE! A Dance Tribute to Hollywood at City Center. BroadwayWorld attended the gala as well as the dress rehearsal earlier in the day. The nostalgic evening honored and paid tribute to that wonderful era when some of the most superb in dance and choreography was immortalized on film.
