The McCallum Theatre announced today its new lineup of world-class entertainment scheduled for the 2013-2014 season with Tony Award-winning musicals and plays, legendary performers, beloved singers, Desert favorites, and international artistry all part of a very full and exciting roster. Subscriptions go on sale on Monday, April 8th at 8am for the Rabobank Broadway Blockbuster Series, Broadway and Beyond Series, Fitz's Jazz Cafe at the McCallum Series, Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel Series, as well as a Create-Your-Own Series which allows patrons to mix, match, and program a full season of entertainment tailored to their own individual tastes.

11-year-old Broadway actress, musician, and performer Isabela Moner announced today the launch of a RocketHub campaign to raise funds for her new album celebrating her passion for Broadway, her Latin American heritage and her love for music. The album will feature Isabela's own compositions and collaborations, as well as newly arranged covers of classic songs and modern hits, and will be released this summer.

Legendary music producer Phil Ramone passed away this morning, March 30, 2013. He was 72. Ramone was hospitalized in New York City earlier this month after suffering an aortic aneurysm. Throughout his notable career, Ramone worked with talents such as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and more.

La Jolla Playhouse announces a special engagement of Steppin' Out with Ben Vereen as part of its cabaret series, running tonight, March 29, 2013 at 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 30 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sunday, March 31 at 2:00 pm. The play will begin performances tonight, March 27, 2013 and will play through April 21, 2013 on The Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Mainstage. Tickets are $40-$70. The press opening is Wednesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m.

According to an Equity casting notice for next month, the Cole Porter classic CAN-CAN will have a staged reading in New York in July 2013, with the official dates to be announced, before it aims for Broadway in Spring 2014.
