On May 23 at 7:30 p.m. the South Orange Performing Arts Center presents political commentator David Frum as part of its Independent Voices series.  He will speak about Real Problems, Real Solutions: Transformative Ideas for Todays Political Landscape, followed by questions from the audience.  An editor for The Atlantic, and a frequent guest on CNN, MSNBC and BBC, David Frum is a well-respected journalist and author.

EgoPo Classic Theater presents CENSORED, two powerful plays, both banned by the South African government, to shine a light on two very different experiences of apartheid: Athol Fugard's "Master Harold"…and the Boys and Matsemela Manaka's Egoli, co-produced by Theatre in the X. On March 22 and 23, EgoPo will open these plays to run in rotating repertory. Master Harold previews March 21 and opens Friday, March 22. Egoli previews March 20 and opens March 23. The shows run three weeks, closing April 7. Single show tickets range $25-$35 with discounts available when both are purchased together. Wright State University Theatre continues its 44th season in the Festival Playhouse with the wildly popular musical: CRAZY FOR YOU, running from November 1nd - November 18th. This show has been adored by fans for generations with a score full of such show tunes as "Slap That Bass," "Naughty Baby," and "I Got Rhythm."  The original production opened on Broadway in 1992.  This hit musical won the Tony Award and Olivier Award in London for Best Musical, and played for a record 1,622 performances on Broadway!

Broadway Will Pay Tribute to Marin Mazzie at Memorial Service on October 25

It was announced today, by husband Jason Danieley, a celebration of the life and Broadway legacy of Marin Mazzie will take place at the Gershwin Theatre, October 25th beginning at 1:30pm, for friends, family and the theatre community. There will be performances and testimonials from loved ones and theatre colleagues to pay tribute to the three-time Tony Award nominee who passed away on September 13th after a three-year tenacious struggle with ovarian cancer.  A dimming of all the marquees on Broadway took place on September 19th as a sign of the impact Marin made through her many appearances on Broadway and concert stages throughout the country.
