At midtown's Stage Left Studio, it's all about the writing. Producer Cheryl King has selected five critically acclaimed plays on a variety of subjects: Cuban refugees, 1930's biracial lesbian love, surviving cancer, rent stabilization, and a solo Macbeth.

The lunatics, lovers and poets merrily charge onto the stage in full force in Classic Stage Company's raucous and witty, sexy and sensual mounting of A Midsummer Night's Dream.  Director Tony Speciale's playfully romantic staging of Shakespeare's tale of earthbound lovers fleeing to the woods to escape an arranged marriage, only to find themselves mixed up in the petty squabbles between a royal faerie couple, features a completely winning ensemble and entrancing visuals.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick, presents Christina Ricci and two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth in the company's upcoming production of William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Directed by Tony Speciale, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM began performances Wednesday, March 28 and play a limited engagement through Sunday, May 6. Pan Am actress Christina Ricci has teamed up with online charity auctions website Charitybuzz to help raise funds for Communities in Schools. She is auctioning a pair of tickets to A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and promises to meet the winners after the show. Bidding closes on March 30.

Stage Left Studio's Left Out Festival will celebrate itss fifth year from April 14 to April 25, with fourteen performances selected by producers Cheryl King and Joe Hutcheson. The Festival includes three premieres, three popular favorites, and selected shorts from upcoming new works and current offerings at Stage Left Studio. The festival highlights gay and lesbian theatre artists while benefiting Bailey House.

This season Stage Left Studio will feature "THAT PLAY: A Solo Macbeth" in its Left Out Festival beginning April 14, after which the show will continue at Stage Left Studio (214 West 30th Street - 6th Floor) through June 14.

Classic Stage Company has announced complete casting for their upcoming production of Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, which begins previews at CSC on Wednesday, April 4 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 20. Joining two-time Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Hippolyta/Titania) and acclaimed film/television/stage star Christina Ricci (Hermia) in the cast are Jordan Dean (Demetrius), Nick Gehlfuss (Lysander), David Greenspan (Flute/Fairy), Halley Wegryn Gross (Helena), Anthony Heald (Theseus/Oberon), Erin Hill (Starveling/Fairy), Chad Lindsey (Snout/Fairy), Taylor Mac (Egeus/Puck), James Patrick Nelson (Snug/Fairy), Steven Skybell (Bottom) and Rob Yang (Quince/Fairy). Directed by Tony Speciale (Unnatural Acts), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM has its official opening Sunday, April 29.

On December 26th and 27th, The Fab Faux will perform The Beatles' final three albums, Abbey Road, Let It Be and The White Album, in their entirety. Spread out over the course of two nights, the 'And, In The End...' concerts will recreate the final chapter in the legendary album output of The Beatles, and will offer fans a chance to hear songs performed live that The Beatles themselves never played in concert (the exception being part of Let It Be, which was performed on the 'rooftop' of Apple Corp, with spectators crowding the street, eventually forcing police to shut the whole operation down...).
