Kansas City Repertory Theatre will open its 2017/18 season with BETWEEN THE LINES, a new musical based on the best-selling book by New York Times bestselling authors Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha Van Leer that features music and lyrics by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson, book by Timothy Allen McDonald and be directed by Tony Award-nominated director Jeff Calhoun.

Disney has shared poster art via Yahoo for OLAF'S FROZEN ADVENTURE. The all-new featurette will open in US theaters in front of Disney/Pixar's COCO beginning November 22nd.

Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, surprised the crowd with a live performance of the all-new original song "That Time of Year," written by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.

This week The BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop presented its top works in this year's showcase. The event was held at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in New York City and premiered performances of the best of songs written and composed by recent members of this Drama League, Drama Desk and Tony honored workshop. Kansas City Repertory Theatre announced today that the musical phenomenon SWEENEY TODD: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street has been added to its 2017-2018 season in the final mainstage slot.

The BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop will present its top works in this year's showcase on Monday, May 1st at 4:30 PM. The event will be held at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in New York City (10 West 64th Street) and will premiere performances of the best of songs written and composed by recent members of this Drama League-, Drama Desk- and Tony-honored workshop.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film just announced casting for the final weeks of the 32ndPowerhouse Season, running through July 31st at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
