Octopus Theatricals, in partnership with Phantom Limb Company and Arts Brookfield, announced a series of new mobile puppet performances collectively titled, “THE PUPPET CYCLE: Small World Stories.” Commissioned by Arts Brookfield, the performances are free, open to the public and will premiere at Brookfield Properties' Manhattan West, Zuccotti Park, and Brooklyn Commons in late July and August.

As the world begins its emergence from the confines of the pandemic, as New Yorkers leave their homes once more and visitors return to the city, award-winning interdisciplinary artist Annie Saunders and her acclaimed collaborators including Andrew Schneider, Jackie! Zhou/One Thousand Birds and Marc Downie of OpenEndedGroup, invites audiences to experience CURRENT.

Random International is set to illuminate Brookfield Properties' Manhattan West, an emerging NYC destination that will transform the new west side this year, with the debut of Body / Light I on May 6.

Theatre for One will launch its first ever virtual experience this month with Theatre for One: Here We Are, a commission by Arts Brookfield with additional support from Thomas M. Neff.   

This spring, the New York Guitar Festival and Arts Brookfield will present two days of performances devoted entirely to classical and flamenco Spanish guitar music at Brookfield Place.

Presented by Arts Brookfield, the Renaissance & Renewal concert marks the debut of the Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra's (KCO) tenth anniversary. Taking place in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place (230 Vesey St.) on Saturday, February 10 at 7:00pm, the concert celebrates the rebirth of Lower Manhattan since the KCO's inaugural performance in the Winter Garden in 2009. The evening will conclude with a world premiere performance of The Winter Garden Waltzes by KCO Founder, Gary S. Fagin, where the audience will rise to dance the waltz under the palms, a KCO tradition. The concert is free and open to the public.

Co-commissioned by Arts Brookfield and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) as part of the River To River Festival 2017, HARBORED is a new site-specific theatrical experience produced by En Garde Arts weaving together stories from the last two centuries of immigration in the U.S., performed a stone's throw from Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place.

On Her Shoulders will present a FREE staged reading of three short plays by women of The Provincetown Players on Wednesday, May 21: The Widow's View by Alice Rostetter (1919), The Rescue by Rita Creighton Smith (1918) and Aria da Capo by Edna St. Vincent Millay (1919.) Elysa Marden directs; Shana Komitee is dramaturg. Doors open at 6:30pm. The Play in Context, which situates the script in its historical time and place, kicks off the evening at 6:45pm.
