Magic Theatre is pleased to announce Scott Hawkins as its new Managing Director. Mr. Hawkins comes to Magic with extensive experience in business and theatre, including a 20-year career as an organizational development consultant, and recent service as Co-President of the Board of Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Mr. Hawkins was appointed after a 6-month search led by the Magic board of directors, and has already begun work getting ready for the 2009-2010 season.

PICT artistic director Andrew S. Paul directs a cast of thirteen in the Pittsburgh professional premiere of Alan Bennett's award-winning play The History Boys. Very funny and deeply moving, the play explores the anarchy of adolescence, the nature of history, and the methods and very purpose of education today. Featured in the production are Bernard Cuffling, Linda Kimbrough, Dave Droxler and Andy Lutz.

Goodman Theatre welcomes children of all ethnicities to audition for this year's production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol adapted by Tom Creamer and directed by William Brown. Performers aged 5 to 17 are needed for several roles-including the role of Tiny Tim and the Cratchit children.

The musical is performing at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre.
