Building on the critical success of his 2011 production of Harold Pinter's Old Times, STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn will return to the British playwright's gripping realm of doubt and disquiet to direct a double bill of short plays. The video for “Cathedral,” the lead single from emerging British artist Jade Bird's debut EP Something American, is premiering today at NPR Music. Of the song NPR Music hails, “Her phrasing and accent feel as if they'd be as at home in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York as they would on Nashville radio.”

The World Science Festival has announced complete programming for the  10th anniversary Festival, which will bring science to the crossroads of the world, Times Square, and to locations across the five boroughs of New York City, with more than 50 events, May 30 - June 4, 2017.

Rabbi David Baron of the Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre has announced several additional High Holy Day Guests for Kol Nidre (the Eve of Yom Kippur) on Tuesday,  October 11th and for Yom Kippur on Wednesday, October 12th.  Evelyn Markus, the daughter of Jewish Dutch Holocaust survivors will talk about her Dutch non-profit organization called "Network on Antisemitism," and her new documentary film, "Never Again Is Now."  Some excerpts from the film will be screened as well.

Myers, Sr., M.D., a renowned civil rights activist, founder & chairman of the modern movement promoting the holiday Juneteenth, Baptist minister, jazz musician and American physician serving the disenfranchised in Tchula, MS. The service will be held tonight, January 16, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. and will feature jazz trumpeter and pianist Ronald V. Myers, Sr. and celebrated jazz guitarist Jacques Lesure.

Rabbi David Baron, Founder of the Beverly Hills Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre announced today, 'Three million dollars was raised at on Sunday evening, October 12, 2014 at our Inaugural Gala Fundraiser, A FABULOUS NIGHT for The Beverly Hills Performing Arts Center and the Temple of the Arts. Funds will be used to support a new Children's Screening Series for underserved kids at the Steve Tisch Cinema Center at the Saban Theatre, as well as other community projects and for the final stages of preservation, modernization and restoration of the historic Saban Theatre. Funds will also initiate a new 10,000 square foot education and entertainment complex.'
