No matter what you call him, Bill Kirchen is a founding father of the Americana movement, now at the peak of his impressive career. He'll bring his killer band Too Much Fun (David Carroll on bass and Rick Richards on drums) to Daryl's House Club in Pawling on Thursday, July 30 at 8 pm.
Foo Fighters Cancel Remaining UK, Europe Tour Dates

Due to injuries sustained in Dave Grohl's fall from the stage during Foo Fighters' June 12 show at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, doctors have required the cancellation of the remainder of the band's dates in the UK and Europe. After undergoing surgery Monday, Dave's full recuperation time is still to be determined.

ALL THINGS MUST PASS, the engrossing documentary from director Colin Hanks and his producing partner Sean Stuart of Company Name, have solidified a North American distribution deal with Nolan Gallagher, Founder and CEO of Gravitas Ventures. ALL THINGS MUST PASS had its world premiere at the 2015 SXSW Festival this past March. The theatrical release for the film is planned for September 2015.

While the frat boys parked their boozy asses in the bar car (aka the couch) for the long road to the NCAA's Final Four over the past few weeks, NYC's village cabaret club The Duplex offered an alternative "March Madness": Cabaret shows about being crazy. As a devotee of time on a different sort of couch, I was drawn in to three separate performances--from Michael Shea, Stacie Koby, and Amber Petty--seeking some music therapy to get me through the tail end of a long winter.
