Dallas Theater Center Announces Successful Completion of the 'Bringing the Wyly Theatre to Life' Advancement Campaign

Dallas Theater Center Board of Trustees Chair Rebecca Fletcher and Managing Director Heather Kitchen are thrilled to announce the successful completion of DTC's "Bringing the Wyly Theatre to Life" Advancement Campaign. The campaign was designed to support a bold vision for DTC's future, which began with the Theater's move to the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center in 2009.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin previously announced the directors for the Company's 2013-2014 Main Stage season at the Addison Theatre Centre. Directing the season opener, Hank Williams: Lost Highway (tonight, October 11-November 3, 2013) will be Michael Serrecchia.

Sarah Jaffe to Tour with Midlake this Winter

Sarah Jaffe is thrilled to be joining fellow Texans Midlake this December for a few weeks of US shows kicking off on December 4th in St. Louis, MO at Old Rock House. The three week trek comes as Sarah starts work on her third full-length studio album due out next Spring on Kirtland Records. In addition, Jaffe will be joining a number of notable artists including Girl Talk, Warpaint, Jason Isbell, Marnie Stern, POS and Titus Andronicus in Dallas, TX next weekend for the second day of theINDEX Festival (www.index-festival.com).

Dallas Theater Center Stages CLYBOURNE PARK in Rep with A RAISIN IN THE SUN, Now thru 10/27

Dallas Theater Center has announced the regional premiere of Clybourne Park, running in rotating rep with A Raisin in the Sun, to launch the theater's 55th season. Clybourne Park will be directed by DTC Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell. Clybourne Park begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance tonight, October 4 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Directed by Hal Brooks (Pulitzer Prize finalist Thom Pain), previews begin tonight, October 2 at The Wild Project. Opening night is slated for Thursday, October 10.

Partial Comfort Productions (Drama Desk nominee A Bright New Boise) kicks off it's 11th season with the World Premiere of AND MILES TO GO by Chad Beckim. Directed by Hal Brooks (Pulitzer Prize finalist Thom Pain), previews begin October 3 at The Wild Project. Opening night is slated for Thursday, October 10. Originally, scheduled to close October 26, performances have been extended through November 2nd by popular demand.

JCCSF and First Voice Present MU World Premiere, Now thru 9/29

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) joins forces with First Voice to present the World Premiere of MU, a magical fable created by National Endowment for the Arts Fellow playwright/artistic director Brenda Wong Aoki, Emmy-winning composer Mark Izu, and Tony-nominated choreographer Kimi Okada, and featuring fantasy costumes by Beaver Bauer. Based on a Japanese legend, MU is a beguiling tale both otherworldly and deeply personal. Three performances take place in Kanbar Hall tonight, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 pm, with a 2 pm matinee on Sunday, Sept. 29, to be followed by a national tour.

Amphibian Stage Productions today announced casting for its final main stage production of the 2013 season, Death Tax by Lucas Hnath. Georgia Clinton, Stormi Demerson, John Forkner, and Laurel Whitsett will star in this dark comedy, running Thursday, October 17 through Sunday, November 10 at Amphibian's theater at 120 S. Main Street. Rene Moreno will direct the production.
