Des Moines Metro Opera's (DMMO) General and Artistic Director, Michael Egel, is pleased to announce the full casting for the Company's 46th Festival Season, which runs from June 22 through July 15, 2018, and offers 17 performances of four different operas.

Utah Opera's 40th anniversary season continues this month with an all-new production of American composer Jake Heggie and librettist Gene Scheer's opera adaptation of Melville's classic novel, Moby-Dick. This production, which features new sets and costumes by the Utah Opera Production Studios, uses traditional, theatrical staging designed to be economically viable and practical for a wide range of companies. Utah Opera will give five performances of Moby-Dick at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre on January 20, 22, 24, 26 at 7:30 PM, and January 28 at 2 PM. FORT WORTH, TX – Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) announced today details of the second phase of the company's landmark 10-year initiative Opera of the Americas, as well as the bold and exciting productions scheduled for the 2017 Festival season, running April 15 - May 7. The 2017 FWOpera Festival will include a time-honored classic, Bizet's incendiary tale of tragic seduction, Carmen; a vibrant, contemporary mainstage production unlike anything in FWOpera's repertoire, Cruzar la Cara de la Luna; and the riveting regional premiere of 2015 Frontiers winner, Voir Dire. The Festival will also usher in the fifth year of Fort Worth Opera's critically-acclaimed new works showcase, Frontiers.

Minnesota Opera is pleased to announce its new production of Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel directed by Doug Varone and conducted by Anne Manson. The opera features mezzo-soprano Stephanie Lauricella and soprano Angela Mortellaro in the title roles, accompanied by the Zenon Dance Company.

This 1914 field dining experience, co-chaired by Trudy and Jack Gabriel, will include a cabaret performance featuring music of the era.
