The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is to tour throughout the UK opening at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. The producers of Ghost The Musical announced today that the show will play its final performance on Broadway on Saturday, August 18th at 8pm after 39 previews and 136 regular performances. Ghost The Musical opened on April 23, 2012 at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street), having begun previews on March 15th.
