Children's Playhouse of Maryland's Young Adult Series to Present THE ADDAMS FAMILY, 5/7-22

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. (CPM), in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex, goes for laughs with the musical comedy, The Addams Family in its Young Adult Series. Performances will be held on the weekends of May 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22 at 1 p.m. with one 7 p.m. show on May 14. The May 15 performance will be sign language interpreted by students of the CCBC Catonsville American Sign Language Certification program. All performances will be held in the Administration Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. in Rosedale. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS or online at www.cpmarts.org. Tickets will also be available at the door, space permitting. Advanced purchase is highly recommended. Group tickets are also available.
ProArts' THE NERD Opens 4/15

ProArts is proud to present the second show of its Spring season, "The Nerd", written by Larry Shue. One of the funniest plays ever written, this extraordinarily inventive, side-splitting comedy was first presented by the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, then in London, and then on Broadway. The action centers on the hilarious dilemma of a young architect who is visited by a man he's never met but who saved his life in Vietnam-the visitor turning out to be an incredibly inept, hopelessly stupid 'nerd' who outstays his welcome with a vengeance.

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. opens its spring season with the musical "James and the Giant Peach, Jr." Performances will be given on weekends March 5 through March 20 in the Lecture Hall of the Administration Building at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. The ensemble cast includes 25 student actors from Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard counties. The production will run weekends at 1 p.m. on Sept. 19, 20, 26, 27, and Oct. 3, 4 with an additional performance at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26. All Performances will be held in the Administration Building Lecture Hall, 7201 Rossville Blvd. The Sunday, Oct. 4, performance will be sign-language interpreted by students in the American Sign Language Certificate Program at CCBC Catonsville.
