FX has ordered its first limited series, Fargo, from MGM Television. The series is adapted by novelist/writer Noah Hawley from the award-winning film of the same title.

Coming off of his Academy Award(R) win for Life of Pi, celebrated director Ang Lee will make his television directorial debut with FX, directing the Pilot episode for the highly anticipated drama Tyrant, from Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award-winning producers Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff (Homeland), and Emmy-nominated writer/producer Craig Wright (Six Feet Under, Lost). The announcement was made today by John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Seth Gordon and actors Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis will reunite for the upcoming thriller ONE NIGHT ON THE HUDSON. The trio worked together previously on Gordon's 'Horrible Bosses.'

Guillermo del Toro has confirmed to IGN that he is, in fact, working on the upcoming DARK UNIVERSE project with DC Comics. The ensemble film, in the vein of THE AVENGERS, would feature many of the supernatural heroes fans have come to love.

Acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro will officially take on the ghost-flick CRIMSON PEAK for Legendary Pictures as his next feature, Deadline reported this afternoon.

From 8-11 p.m., an encore telecast of the 1946 movie classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers) delivered NBC's top total-viewer result for a Saturday night so far this season and best for an in-season Saturday since January 21 ('Betty White's 90th Birthday' and encores of 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' and 'SVU'). From its first half-hour to its sixth, 'It's a Wonderful Life' increased its 18-49 rating by 57 percent (to a 1.1 from a 0.7) and its overall viewership by 51 percent or 1.7 million persons (to 5.1 million from 3.4 million).
