TVGuide.com reports that Britney Spears will not be returning as a judge for next season's X FACTOR on FOX. The pop star has quit the show in order to focus on her music and a possible tour.

Today, Fox chairman Kevin Reilly spoke about the upcoming third season of THE X FACTOR at the TCA, and claims that neither he nor Simon Cowell have discussed potential openings on the judge's panel (aside from L.A. Reid, who will most definitely not be back).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly is currently in talks to renew GLEE for a fifth season. He revealed: 'Yes, that is a real possibility; we're going to negotiate now for the fifth season and beyond, so we're talking about those things now.'

According to the latest issue of US Weekly, X FACTOR host Britney Spears will be fired from her post as judge of the popular singing competition. An insider tells Hot Stuff, 'Britney will get the boot. Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn't working.'
