The Bridge Initiative Announces BUILDING BRIDGES @ ASU KERR

The Bridge Initiative has announced Building Bridges @ ASU Kerr, a new collaboration of twice-monthly offerings from October 2021 through May 2022. This two-pronged series centers community conversation using theatre as the lens to interrogate our world and relationships to each other.

The Bridge Initiative: Women in Theatre (TBI) is testing a new concept called Quaran-Teams: an hour-long event featuring theatre artists 'teams', accompanied by a trivia-type game with prizes for the audience.

Star of the Day Stage Presents JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

With 'a crash of drums, a flash of light,' Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the internationally acclaimed musical/dance extravaganza explodes on Star of the Day Stage. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's spectacular musical will close the company's 2nd season of musicals. The show opens on Friday, December 2, 2016, with performances through December 17. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 pm, with matinees at 2:00 pm Sundays. Star of the Day is located at McCoole's Arts & Events Place, 10 S. Main Street, Quakertown, PA. On Sunday, June 12, 2016, Civic Theatre of Allentown hosted its 6th annual Tonys & Tapas celebration.  The event raised over $25,000 for Civic Theatre and had nearly 100 attendees. The event also served to officially unveil Civic's new logo in preparation for its 89th season. Sharon Glassman, Board President, stated in her welcome, "This evening, Broadway celebrates its best and brightest of the 2016 season by honoring each winner with the prestigious Antoinette Perry Award, thereby assuring these performers a place in theatre history. This afternoon, we not only celebrate those awardees, but also the inimitable magic that the theatre brings into each of our lives."

Civic Theatre School to Present ANNIE JR., 4/10-12

Civic Theatre School (theatre by children, for children) will present 'Annie, Jr.' an adaptation of one of the world's best-loved and most-performed family musicals for four performances only, April 10-12 at Civic's historic Nineteenth Street Theatre. The cast of this production consists entirely of students from the Civic Theatre School. Tickets cost $18 for adults and $12 for students and children.
