Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Vieux Farka Toure & Julia Easterlin to Release TOURISTES Album, 9/18; 'Little Things' Single Out Today

In the summer of 2014, as Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré passed through New York, he got together with American vocalist Julia Easterlin for an impromptu studio session. Though this was the first time the two had met, in that session something divine happened, transcending what each was capable of on their own. Thus their collaboration was born and an entire album project, Touristes, conceived; to examine their respective musical roots and passions together and transform what they find into something entirely new and unique.
Barb Jungr to Bring 'HARD RAIN' to Joe's Pub, 7/9-17

This July, Joe's Pub at The Public presents four nights with the legendary cabaret artist Barb Jungr, performing her hit show Hard Rain: the Songs of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. Hard Rain is also Jungr's latest award-winning album, released March 2014 to rave reviews.
