Irish Sextet 'Altan' Set to Tour North America in March

Leaping like their homeland from earthy and moving tradition to world-wide notoriety, the acclaimed Irish sextet Altan celebrates a quarter century with Altan: 25th Anniversary Celebration (Compass Records), a new recording of lush, sensitive orchestrations by renowned Irish composer Fiachara Trench performed by the RTE Concert Orchestra. To celebrate, Altan will be touring North America in March.

Filipino siblings Enrico and Jerianne Banson are producing Jonathan Larson's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical RENT at the Southside Theatre, Fort Mason Center, Building D in San Francisco, California via The Royal Underground Theatre Company, a JERICA Productions subsidiary. Their production of the popular rock musical opened last January 21, 2010 and runs until February 21, 2010.
'Everybody's Girl' - Vicki Roush In Concert At The Waterfront

Vicki has starred at the Waterfront in numerous productions, including 'Olympus On My Mind,' 'Lookin' Up,' 'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum,' and many others. She has also appeared in the Waterfront's Sondheim concert, 'Encore!' and this year's 'Broadway With A Twist.' In 1991, she had a sold-out concert at TWFAC called 'Diva By The Sea.' She has also performed in 'Falsettoland,' 'Cole' and the various incarnations of 'Nunsense,' as well as appearing in 'Follies' with the Key West Pops. She was recently the featured singer for the annual NetRoots Nation conference, attended by President Bill Clinton.

Sarah Stiles, who starred as Kate Monster and Lucy in AVENUE Q on Broadway, will re-join the cast of the musical now at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St. in Manhattan) starting Friday, January 8, 2010.
Horton Foote Prize to be Inaugurated Fall 2010

The Horton Foote Prize, a new award named after the legendary writer, which will be presented to an American playwright who has written an original work of exceptional quality, will be inaugurated this coming Fall (2010). The award, which will carry a cash prize of $30,000 and which will be awarded on a bi-annual basis, will be funded by the Austin, Texas-based Greg and Mari Marchbanks Family Foundation. Mari Marchbanks is the Founder of The Horton Foote Prize and will serve as its Executive Director. Shortly before his death last March at the age of 92, Mr. Foote gave his blessing to this eponymous award.
