Arizona Theatre, Stray Cat to Present New Comedy SEX WITH STRANGERS This Fall

Arizona Theatre Company, in a special collaboration with Stray Cat Theatre, will present Laura Eason's new comedy about the calculations people are making to find love or fame in an age of social media, brightly-lit phone screens and blogging. SEX WITH STRANGERS plays Sept. 24-Oct. 11 in Stage West at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe.

Two River Theater to Present August Wilson's SEVEN GUITARS, Begin. 9/12

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the full cast and creative team for its production of August Wilson's Seven Guitars, directed by Brandon J. Dirden, an award-winning actor who is making his directorial debut with this production. Seven Guitars is the third play in Wilson's American Century Cycle produced by Two River, following the theater's acclaimed mountings of Jitney and Two Trains Running. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, September 12 and continue through Sunday, October 4. The opening night performance is Friday, September 18 at 8pm. Tickets are available from 732.345.1400 or tworivertheater.org. Multi-Ethnic Theatre Extends TWO TRAINS RUNNING Through 9/12

Thanks to packed houses and enthusiastic audience response, Multi Ethnic Theater is extending the run of August Wilson's Two Trains Running for two additional weekends, through September 12. Two Trains Running is directed by Lewis Campbell, founder and artistic director of Multi Ethnic Theater. The play concerns the regulars at Memphis Lee's restaurant trying to fight against the urban renewal that would tear the place down and bulldoze the local African-American community. The production is staged at the Gough Street Playhouse, 1620 Gough Street in San Francisco.

Casting is set for Signature Theatre's world premiere of A.R. Gurney's new play Love & Money, directed by Mark Lamos. The production runs tonight, August 15, to September 27, 2015 with an August 24, 2015 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The show is a co-production with Westport Country Playhouse.
