International City Theatre continues its 30th anniversary season with a production celebrating the 30th anniversary of a modern American classic: Fences by August Wilson. Gregg T. Daniel directs Wilson's powerful drama for an August 21 opening at International City Theatre's home in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews are set for August 19 and 20.

Genesis Foundation will fund Signature Theatre's innovative Residency Five program, supporting nine playwrights over the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. The current nine Residency Five playwrights are Annie Baker, Martha Clarke, Will Eno, Katori Hall, Quiara Alegria Hudes, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Lisa Kron, Kenneth Lonergan and Regina Taylor.
Court Theatre to Open 2015-2016 Season with August Wilson's GEM OF THE OCEAN

Court Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Charles Newell and Executive Director Stephen J. Albert, presents August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean, directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson. Gem of the Ocean will run September 10 - October 11, 2015 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.
