Spring has sprung and while love is in the air at The Human Race, April showers loom for the characters of the theatre company's latest production, ONE SLIGHT HITCH. The production at The Human Race's downtown Dayton home at The Loft Theatre is directed by Margarett Perry and features actors Brian Dykstra and Rita Rehn, with Dana Berger, Alex Curtis, Cecily Dowd, Kyle Nunn and Alex Sunderhaus. The preview performance of ONE SLIGHT HITCH is tonight, April 7. Opening night is tomorrow, April 8. The production runs through April 24. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Life in suburban Cincinnati is good for Doc and Delia Coleman on the morning they're about to throw their eldest daughter the perfect wedding they never had, that is until her vagabond exboyfriend arrives on their doorstep and turns their best laid plans into total chaos. The result is a zany, door-slamming comedy about stressed-out parents, less-than-helpful siblings and interruptions galore from the mind of comedian Lewis Black. Will their daughter make it down the aisle or will the day end up a perfect disaster? A private reading was held Thursday, September 27th of Brian Hampton's new play, Gossip. The cast featured Kristine Reese (Les Miserables, Wicked) as Gossip, Farah Alvin (The Last Smoker in America, The Marvelous Wonderettes) as Dallas, Heath Calvert (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Hair) as Tim, and Trey Mitchell (The Jungle Fun Room) as Andy.

Cast Selected for Human Race/Wright State Production of August: Osage County, 9/23-10/10

The cast of the historic Human Race Theatre Company/Wright State University Theatre Department collaborative production of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, August: Osage County, is now set. The 13-member ensemble of seven professionals and six WSU students includes two performers who were understudies during the play's five-Tony-winning run on Broadway.

Tracy Letts' masterpiece, August: Osage County, has won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, multiple Tony awards and accolades around the world, including Time magazine's declaration that it's The Play of the Decade. Now, in its regional premiere, August has accomplished something that never happened before - a collaboration between Dayton's own professional theatre company, The Human Race, and Wright State Theatre on a production at Wright State's Festival Theatre.
