BWW has confirmed that the cast, crew and investors were informed pre-show this evening that GODSPELL will play its final performance on Broadway on June 24th, 2012 at Circle in the Square Theatre.

Today, June 8, GODSPELL will play a special added matinee performance at 3 p.m.

Those who closely follow Broadway Grosses have been keeping an eye on GODSPELL's numbers as of late and wondering what the future held for the musical, which was recently announced for a performance on Sunday night's Tonys. Lead producer Ken Davenport has shed some light on the show's health in a new blog entry noting that after a slew of recent promotions ranging from 'Pay Your Age' to the 'Cast of 2032' and a Fan Appreciation Day:

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the revival of GODSPELL on Broadway, despite a lack of Tony nominations, will make an appearance on the 2012 broadcast to perform a selection from the musical. At this time, there is no official word or confirmation on who, or what the cast will be performing.

Beginning Tuesday, March 6, for the first time in Broadway history, fans of the hit musical revival of GODSPELL can listen online for free to exclusive creative team audio commentary of the performance from the show's legendary composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and director Daniel Goldstein.

Earlier this week, Two Boots Pizza in Hell's Kitchen (9th Ave. and 44th St.) unveiled their new pizza inspired by GODSPELL. The GODSPELL pizza contains casear chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic and jalapeño pesto on a white pie. The New Broadway Cast Recording of the revival of GODSPELL will be released digitally today, December 20, 2011 on Ghostlight Records. Produced by Stephen Schwartz, Michael Holland and Kurt Deutsch with Executive Producer Ken Davenport, the CD will be available in stores on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
