The highly acclaimed Broadway production of End of the Rainbow, written by Peter Quilter and directed by Tony® Award winner Terry Johnson, played its final performance on Sunday, August 19, and BWW was there to capture the show's farewell curtain call.

The highly acclaimed Broadway production of End of the Rainbow, written by Peter Quilter and directed by Tony® Award winner Terry Johnson, will play its final performance on Sunday, August 19, it was announced today. The production, which began performances on Monday, March 19, 2012 and opened to rave reviews on Monday, April 2, will have played a total of 176 performances at Broadway's Belasco Theatre.

Tracie Bennett, who stars as Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow, will be participating in post-show talk-backs, moderated by Village Voice columnist Michael Musto, on Tuesday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 7.

End of the Rainbow starring two-time Olivier Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Tracie Bennett as Judy Garland, has put a new block of tickets on sale through January 6, 2013. The production is directed by Tony Award-winner Terry Johnson, and festuring music by Peter Quilter.

End of the Rainbow is hosting theaterland's first ever Instagram Meet-Up at the famed Belasco Theatre (111 W. 44th Street). Taking place at 12:45 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, April 21, the event, which is open to all interested Instagram enthusiasts, will offer participants an exclusive tour of the recently renovated theatre, which boasts one of New York's most beautiful neo-Georgian interiors. Those participating in this rare opportunity will be encouraged to snap and post photos of the theater via Instagram.
