Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America's longest-running little theater companies, is proud to open its 86th season with the Tony Award-winning musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood. With Book, Music and Lyrics written by Rupert Holmes, The Mystery of Edwin Drood is based on an unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. Under the direction of Steve Bell, The Mystery of Edwin Droodwill be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from September 8th through October 6th, 2018. Shows will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. This year's honorees are legendary actress and singer Diahann Carroll, entrepreneur Don Peebles, and three lifetime members of the Mission Society's Board of Directors: actress and philanthropist Dina Merrill Hartley, whose family has supported the Mission Society for four generations; Lloyd W. Brown, II; and, LTC Francis W. Kairson, Jr. (Ret).

The winner of the 11th Annual New Jersey Playwrights Contest-Play Series, Trial and Treason by S.W. Senek, will be presented at William Paterson University in Wayne from December 3 to 14 in the Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus.

Angela Lansbury received the 2014 Rolex Dance Award. James Earl Jones, Ms. Lansbury's Driving Miss Daisy co-star, presented her with the award. The 2014 Career Transition For Dancers Outstanding Contributions to the World of Dance Awards honorees went to Janice Galli Becker, Fe Saracino Fendi, and Joe Tremaine & Tremaine Dance Conventions & Competitions.
