ONCE's Steve Kazee to Headline NYC EXPOSED at The Cutting Room Tonight


Tonight, July 29th at 10pm NYC will get Exposed. The Cutting Room will host a night of music and poetry exposing some of NYC's best unknown and established performers. The concert is a platform encouraging these artists to display their original work to the public without apology.

Will Sing For Pride at One-Night-Only NYC Benefit Recording Artist and American Idol finalist Kimberley Locke, Tony Award nominee Colman Domingo (The Scottsboro Boys) will join Drama Desk Award nominee Terri White (Follies Revival) with a special appearance by Tony Award nominee Adam Pascal (Rent), who will be among the lineup of performers set for Broadway Sings For Pride: The Winter Holiday Concert.

Anthony Rapp to Direct BORN BLUE Benefit, 9/8


RENT alum Anthony Rapp (RENT, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown) will collaborate on a one night only reading of BORN BLUE, a new musical written by Caren Tackett (RENT, Hair). Proceeds from the event will benefit New York City based not-for-profit Broadway Impact.

Over fifteen Broadway and National Tour performers will join notable personalities on Monday, June 27, 2011 to celebrate New York City's Gay Pride at The LGBT Center in Manhattan. Broadway Sings for Pride: A Benefit Concert, is being produced by Neal B of NealB.tv and will benefit The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Attendees will enjoy the vast array of songs from Lady Gaga to The Beatles, along with a plethora of Broadway hits. Musical performances will feature cast members from The Book of Mormon, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Rent, Wonderland, Mamma Mia, Anything Goes and many more! Jim Lahti will serve as the evening's musical director and Carly Jibson (Broadway's Hairspray and Cry-Baby) will emcee. Musical accompaniment will be provided Jim Lahti on piano, Sean Harkness on acoustic & electric guitar and David Silliman on percussion. Kat Dudina and Mia Grottola, American Sign Language interpreters, will be signing for the hard of hearing and deaf community.

TV: RENT in Rehearsal at the Hollywood Bowl!


BroadwayWorld TV's Los Angeles correspondent Michael Sterling, got up close and personal today with the cast of RENT at rehearsals for the Hollywood Bowl presentation of the groundbreaking musical August 6 through 8, 2010. Sterling spoke in detail with the show's star-studded cast and director about the upcoming performances at one of the world's most renowned venues.

RENT, written by Jonathan Larson, will be performed at the Hollywood Bowl for three performances only, Friday and Saturday August 6 and 7 at 8:30pm, and Sunday August 8 at 7:30pm. Neil Patrick Harris will direct the production, with musical direction by Tim Weil and choreography by Jamal Sims. The cast includes Skylar Astin, Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens, Telly Leung, Collins Pennie, Nicole Scherzinger, Tracie Thoms, and Aaron Tveit.
