Company Of Fools Presents Woody Guthrie's AMERICAN SONG


Company of Fools (COF) will kick off its 23rd season of dynamic theatre programming in late June with Woody Guthrie's American Song, an ensemble musical based on the famed singer-songwriter's folk music and writings that was praised by The Seattle Times as "An exuberant musical celebration of our nation, our history, and our shared humanity." Directed by Kent Thompson with musical direction by R.L. Rowsey, the production will run June 26-July 15 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. Woody Guthrie's American Song is presented in conjunction with The Center's BIG IDEA project We the People: Protests and Patriotism.

Company of Fools Theatre Announces its 23rd Season for 2018�"2019


Interim Producing Director Kent Thompson announces the 23rd season of the Company of Fools, featuring four main stage productions. Its 2018-2019 lineup includes Woody Guthrie's American Song, Heisenberg, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and concludes with 4000 Miles. While next season's Play Reading Series is still in development, COF is pleased to announce The Agitators as part of the series. "We are excited to share these stories as COF begins a new chapter. This season continues our commitment to the magical art of storytelling, our company of artists, and a vital connection to our community and region," Thompson adds.

Company Of Fools Presents INSIDE, OUTSIDE, UPSIDE DOWN!


Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre programming will conclude with the charming production of Inside, Outside, Upside Down! - a mini-musical commissioned by Company of Fools (COF) and the Sun Valley Center for the Arts as part of its new BIG IDEA project, Bees. Two free public performances are scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 2 p.m. Both will be held at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey and will be followed by a unique interactive workshop.

Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues in February with a production of Clybourne Park, a searingly funny play by Bruce Norris that won both the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play. Clybourne Park will run Feb. 21 March 10 at the Liberty Theater in Hailey and will be directed by Denise Simone, one of Company of Fools' founding members and a Core Company Artist until late 2016. Rowsey and Grant Carey, this magical New Year's themed concert-theatre hybrid will run Dec. 14-30, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey, followed by a special New Year's Eve fundraiser performance and celebration on Dec. 31.

Two one-act plays provide a double feature more hilarious than any presented in Hollywood's heyday. Winner of two Tony Awards and a hit Broadway production. The first act, A Day in Hollywood, is a revue of classic Hollywood songs of the 1930s performed by singing and dancing ushers from Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the iconic Hollywood landmark.

This fall, Company of Fools (COF) will present Grounded, the gripping drama by award-winning playwright George Brant. The play will run Sept. 28-Oct. 13 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. Hailed by The New York Times as "A scorching, sharp-eyed, timely script … (that) lets no one off easy," this heartbreaking, beautiful, and necessary story is one of courage, motherhood and modern warfare. COF will present this play with the audience seated onstage in the round, and seating is limited to 60 patrons at each performance.?

Company of Fools Will Present ART


?This summer Company of Fools (COF) will present the chic, short, and wickedly funny comedy ART by award-winning playwright Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton. The play, which won both the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play and the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy, will run August 9-13 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.

Company of Fools to Open 21st Season with GREY GARDENS


?Company of Fools (COF) opens its 21st season with the haunting and often hilarious  musical, Grey Gardens, with book by Doug Wright, music by Scott Frankel and lyrics by Michael Korie. Performances run June 28-July 20 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. When it premiered on Broadway in 2006, Grey Gardens was hailed as Time magazine's number one show of the year and garnered 10 Tony Award nominations.
