Seacoast Repertory Theatre ignites the Seacoast stage with a sizzling production of CHICAGO that truly is a 'summer must see' for anyone who loves a fast-paced, exciting and professionally performed musical.
A dark musical comedy, Chicago delivers the answers to the questions above, along with steamy dancing and powerhouse vocals. We follow Velma Kelley (Christine Dulong) and Roxie Hart (Jessi Trauth*), two murderesses with only one thing in common; they both killed in a moment of passion to obtain fame. Set in the roaring 20's, the city of Chicago is the backdrop to the jazz-laden, booze-filled decadence of the times. Hilarity and tongue-in -cheek court room drama ensue as the ladies of the Cook County Jail fight for their "innocence".
