Over the last three decades, David was the sound supervisor and mixer for numerous Broadway productions directed by such notables as Harold Prince, Michael Bennett, Jerome Robbins, Bob Fosse and Susan Stroman. These productions include: A Chorus Line (1981), Dreamgirls (1983), Sweet Charity (1986), Cabaret (1988), Jerome Robbins' Broadway (1989), Crazy For You (1991), Passion (1994), Fosse (1998), The Producers (2000), Gypsy (2007), The Addams Family (2009) and the 2014 Best Musical: A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. In 2006, David designed the sound for the Tony Award winning Jay Johnson - The Two and Only and the Off-Broadway hit The Musical of Musicals at the York Theatre Company. He has worked as a concert sound engineer for Tommy Tune, Mandy Patinkin and Patti LuPone and for special events at The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and NY City Center Encores series. Currently, David is a faculty adviser at Carnegie Mellon University; Sound Design adviser to Baldwin Wallace University and as a member of the design collective District 5 Sound, has designed immersive events including: D.O.D.O. and Welcome To Here at the Bricolage Production Company and Chatterton for Quantum Theatre. His sound designs are represented annually at the Great Lakes Theater, Cleveland OH; The Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Boise, ID; and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Sand Harbor State Park, NV.

THE FOREST OF EVERYWHERE: Bricolage Reimagines Their Enchanted Sensory-Friendly Children's Immersive


In stark contrast to their secretive 2017 production DODO, Bricolage's latest immersive endeavor, The Forest of Everywhere, is a whimsical sensory-friendly children's experience based on their 2016 production, Welcome to Here. Originally commissioned by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for the EQT Children's Theater Festival, Welcome to Here was designed to welcome children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. Building on the success of its predecessor, The Forest of Everywhere will enjoy a much longer, three-week run and will feature an expanded open-world forest environment along with new characters and experiences. Bricolage is proud to premiere this production in conjunction with the 2018 EQT Children's Theater Festival as a recommended show.

BWW Review: WEST SIDE STORY at Baldwin Wallace University Music Theatre Program


WEST SIDE STORY, the Jerome Robbins (concept development), Leonard Bernstein (Music), Arthur Laurents (book), and Stephen Sondheim (lyrics), had an interesting road from idea to Broadway production to revivals. The script is now in production by the Baldwin Wallace Department of Theatre and Dance and the Conservatory of Music's Musical Theatre Program.

Jenn Colella to Lead KIKI BABY at NYMF, 10/5-16


The New York Musical Theatre Festival in association with Jeffery & Elizabeth Passero are pleased to announce the production of KIKI BABY, directed by Lonny Price and Matt Cowart. KIKI BABY will play six performances at the Theatre at St. Clements (423 West 46th Street, between 9TH & 10TH Avenues).
