Titan Theatre Company's Lenny Banovez Named Next Artistic Director Of Hope Summer Rep


Hope Summer Repertory Theatre (HSRT) announced today that Lenny Banovez has been named Artistic Director heading into the 2018 Season. Banovez, who is also the Artistic Director of Titan Theatre Company, the Award winning & critically acclaimed theatre in Queens, joins the company after former Artistic Director David Colacci stepped down last fall after 25 years of service to the company. Because the two company's season schedules are complementary, Banovez will split time between Titan and HSRT, serving in New York from September through April and in Holland, Michigan May through August.

Among the finalists announced by the Audio Publishers Association (APA) for the 2017 Audie Awards, Recorded Books Inc., Tantor Media, HighBridge and christianaudio received 14 nominations across a wide range of categories, including Best Male Narrator.

Does ROMAN HOLIDAY Have A Future Home on Broadway?


Currently onstage at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis is the period musical spectacular Roman Holiday. Based on the iconic film, the show features the music of Cole Porter, including hits like 'Easy to Love,' 'Begin the Beguine,' 'Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye' and 'Riding High', in addition to rarely heard gems that fit perfectly into the story. The production began preview performances on June 9 and opens tonight, June 15. The run is scheduled to continue through August 19 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage. Stephanie Rothenberg leads the cast of Roman Holiday as Princess Anne-a radiant young woman in Rome on a widely publicized European tour who sneaks away from her royal duties to explore the city. Rothenberg recently made her Broadway debut stepping into the role of Rosemary in the Tony-nominated revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Edward Watts plays Joe Bradley-a handsome, crafty American newspaper reporter who charms the princess. Watts most recently appeared in the long-running production of The Fantasticks in New York City. The Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, located at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, is presenting INTO THE WOODS, AN ITALIAN STRAW HAT, THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, and I DO! I DO! in repertory this summer. In addition, there will be three productions aimed at younger audiences: A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD, BUSYTOWN THE MUSICAL, and A BRAND NEW KID. All productions will be presented in the college's DeWitt Theatre.
