Mosaic Theater Company of DCtakes its acclaimedVoices From a Changing Middle East Festival on tour this winter, bringing several of its seminal Festival productions (I SHALL NOT HATE, VIA DOLOROSA, and the recent film adaptation of WRESTLING JERUSALEM) to the University of Oklahoma, Grinnell College, and Eastern Mennonite University for presentations of each project, and culminating in a special evening at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts where excerpts from all three works will be shared in a single evening. The tour reflects different dimensions of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the efforts to achieve reckoning and reconciliation through live performance and discussion, in works performed in English, Arabic, and Hebrew (with translated surtitles).

The Oshman Family JCC presents Aaron Davidman's groundbreaking and critically acclaimed solo show Wrestling Jerusalem. Set in America, Israel, and Palestine, the play follows one man's journey to understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Davidman's performance is a personal story that grapples with the complexities of identity, history, and social justice. American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Director of Education Elizabeth Brodersen announced today the successful launch of Back to the Source, a new training institute for schoolteachers and teaching artists who use theater techniques in the classroom.

THE FIVE YEAR ENGAGEMENT is coming to theaters on April 27, 2012 from Universal Pictures. The comedy is directed by Nicholas Stoller and written by Stoller and Jason Segal. Jewish Voice for Peace has collected over 150 names of Obie/Emmy/Tony/Pulitzer and other prize- winning theater and film professionals in support of the Israeli actors'/playwrights' boycott of Israeli settlements. The issue has exploded in Israel and now support for the boycott has gone global.

Due to overwhelming response from eager audiences, TheatreWorks' moving production of Chaim Potok's classic tale, THE CHOSEN, is adding performances, and will now extend its run through November 8 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. THE CHOSEN, adapted for the stage by Chaim Potok and Aaron Posner is the classic uplifting tale of fathers and sons, faith and family, featuring Bay Area theatre veteran Corey Fischer, with The Jewish Theatre of San Francisco (formerly A Traveling Jewish Theatre) Artistic Director Aaron Davidman at the helm.
