New York Theatre Festival to Present OUR DEAD FRIEND'S PORN at the Hudson Guild Theatre
Our Dead Friend's Porn is a new play about the awkwardness and old bruises of a friendship hurtling towards adulthood that opens in the New York Theatre Festival at the Hudson Guild Theatre January 2nd.
In the cornfields of suburban Pennsylvania, a once inseparable trio breaks into the childhood bedroom of their dead friend to dispose of the massive porn collection he left behind. When they make a discovery among the magazines and DVD's, each member of the gang is forced to relive their intimate moments with their friend to piece together the mysteries of his death, and whether or not they caused it.

Bios:
Connor Wright (playwright) is a New York based writer and performer whose plays have been produced at Kimball Studios, St. Paul's Theater, Goldberg Theater and as part of the San Diego Fringe Festival, Bad Theater Festival, and The Actually Happening One-Act Series. He's a frequent performer who's worked The PIT, Pit Loft, and Reckless Theater. He recently graduated from N.Y.U. with a BFA in Dramatic Writing.
Joel Kirk (director) is a New York City theatre director. He has worked with Actors Theatre of Indiana, Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis, NewYorkRep, WorkShop Theatre, Busted Space Theatre Company, Carmel Community Playhouse, Ethnic Theatre Alliance, Cave Theatre, and Alchemical Theatre Lab. Recent directing credits include Blatantly Blaine (The People's Improv Theatre, which received a Best Bet for Theatre is Easy and a listing in Time Out) Freezer Burn (Dixon Place), Customer Service (Midtown International Theatre Festival and Manhattan Repertory Theatre), The Roof Play (The Secret Theatre), and High-Beam Daylight (Kimball Studios).
