The Young Artist Training Program - Theatre FMPAT
YATP Summer Performance at the MCL Grand
Cabaret Style, Semi-Private/Small Group Camps
Auditions by appointment, Saturday, April 20th
Broadway Musical Camp - June 17 - July 1
Pop/Rock Classics - July 22 - August 5

Our educational youth program, The Young Artist Training Program (YATP), is looking forward to bringing the great Sondheim musical, INTO THE WOODS, to life May 1 - 5 at the MCL Grand. Tickets will go on sale soon. We hope you will come see the work of our educational programs in action! We love being able to offer the youth in our community the opportunity to work with professionals in a small, unique, conservatory style setting.
We are also excited to announce auditions for openings in our NEW Summer Cabaret Camps! These small group format, music camps allow young performers time to work in a semi-private setting with our amazing youth director, Stephanie Riggs, on soloing, duets, and ensemble pieces for their very own cabaret style production at the MCL Grand this summer! What an amazing way to GROW & BLOOM as a young performer.
There are two options; a June camp (Broadway's Best June 17 - July 1) and a July/August camp (Pop/Rock Classics July 22 - August 5.) There are VERY limited openings remaining, and auditions will be held by appointment for new students on Saturday, April 20th. We are now taking audition appointments.
To schedule your audition, and for further information, please email
FMPATheatre@aol.com.
Students should prepare a 16 bar song selection for the audition and bring sheet music in the appropriate key.
The camps are designed with the busy, young professional student performer in mind, and the hours are set to allow participation in multiple camps simultaneously as well as to allow ongoing auditions of the students. Each student will be responsible for preparing two solos, one small group (duet/trio/quartet), and one large ensemble piece. Students will also be responsible for working with the director on the production book, program, wardrobe, load in, sound design, coordinating with set & lighting designers...all the components of putting together a cabaret style production.
Our students are special, and they are in a special place. The quality and standard expected is most often achieved and exceeded by our dedicated students as a result of the small, close knit family feel of our learning environment. This is a conservatory style setting, and not a large group "paying to play". Please see short video for more information on what makes YATP special.

We hope to get to meet YOU at our next youth auditions, or at one of our youth performances of INTO THE WOODS, May 1 - 5.
