Un-Common Announces Auditions for Students Ages
16 to 21 (and boys ages 6 – 12) for The Young Adult Company Summer Production of the Broadway Musical "The Who’s Tommy"
The Un-Common Theatre Co. is excited to announce that The Un-Common Young Adult Company is holding auditions for the award-winning Broadway Musical THE WHO’S TOMMY to be presented at the Orpheum Theatre, Foxboro, MA in July, 2012.
This classic rock opera tells the story of Tommy, who after a traumatic family tragedy, suffers a mental breakdown and removes himself from reality. As an adolescent, he develops an uncanny talent for playing pinball, and when his mother finally reconnects with her teenage son, Tommy becomes an international pinball superstar. The exhilarating score is timeless in its youthful appeal including such classics as Pinball Wizard; Tommy, Can You Hear Me?; and See Me, Feel Me.
Auditions will be held for students ages 16 – 21 and for boys ages 6 – 12, on Sunday, May 20th, 2012 from 12:30pm by appointment only in Foxboro, MA with call backs on Monday May 21st, 2012 at 6:30pm in Mansfield, MA. If you are physically unable to attend the auditions, please contact us by email for information on presenting a video audition.
Rehearsals will be held mostly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Mansfield and Foxboro and Sunday afternoons in Foxboro beginning May 22nd. The show will be performed at The Orpheum Theater in Foxboro, MA July 19-22, 2012.
