OLD LIBRARY THEATRE ANNOUNCES NEXT PRODUCTION AUDITIONS

Fair Lawn Recreation Departments resident theater company, The Old Library Theatre, announces auditions for the drama The Vagina Monologues. The show is made up of a number of monologues performed by a varying number of women. Each of the stories deals with aspects of the feminine experience touching on matters such as sex, love, rape, birth and orgasm. Each story talks about and encompasses a theme about women's empowerment.
The production director is Rachel Lichter and is seeking women of all ages. Those auditioning should come prepared with 2 audition pieces, the first being a monologue from the show or a monologue that tells a story. The second needs to be a personal story and needs to be told in a personal and dramatic tone. It can be your own, a friends or family members or one that you have researched. It needs to be made personal.
Auditions will be held on December 2 & 3, from 6:30-8:30. Those auditioning should be prepared for a possible callback on December 4. The production runs February 14, 15, 16. Auditions, rehearsals and performances are all at the Fair Lawn Recreation Center building.
