THE CONQUEST OF THE SOUTH POLE and A CHERRY ORCHARD IN MAINE - Snowlion Repertory Company

Snowlion Rep, a professional theater company in Portland Maine, is seeking THREE ACTORS (non-Equity) for two of their 2018 shows to be performed at Portland Ballet Studio Theater. THERE IS PAY.

For

The Conquest of the South Pole - performs January/February 2018

By Manfred Karge - a New England premiere

BUSCHER: Male, early 30s. White. Unemployed mill worker in Rumford. Strong personality, a solid friend but can be confrontational. A realist who breaks up the group quest in his anger and despair at not finding work.

For

A Cherry Orchard in Maine - performs April 2018

Based on Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard - a world premiere

VERONICA RANKIN: Female, 24. African American. Lily's adopted daughter. In love with Jerry Logan. Practical, earthy, spiritual, prone to extreme emotions, easily going from worry to fear to anger to despair.

DHAAYO: Female, 20. Somalian. Wears a headscarf. Family housekeeper, taking over from her late mother. Falls in love very easily - first with Simon, then Yank, then the postal clerk. Nervous, delicate, prone to fits of giddy emotion.
