South Bend Civic Theatre is creating new opportunities for bringing onstage and backstage talent to their productions in 2015. On Monday April 13th and Tuesday April 14th, SBCT will hold auditions for three upcoming shows: The Explorers Club, Fiddler on the Roof, and A False Lie. Actors will have the opportunity to list their preference of shows to be considered for in this new format. The auditions will begin promptly at 6 PM and will be held at the Scottish Rite building (across the parking lot from South Bend Civic Theatre on Main Street).
Alongside the auditions, SBCT will hold meetings with volunteers to fill positions throughout SBCT – including backstage, production, front of house (box office and ushers), social media assistance and administrative opportunities. SBCT staff members will be available to discuss various needs and encourage participants to sign up for their choice of activities.
In addition, SBCT will offer a free Audition Workshop Tuesday April 7th from 6:30-7:30 PM at the Scottish Rite building. Led by SBCT Education Director Carys Kresny, this fun and engaging workshop will give actors of all skill levels techniques and hints to nail their audition.
