MARCH IN THE PARADE: A PLAY WITH MUSIC FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES - A Theater for Youth Project


Seeking: Actors/Singers Who Move Well For Theater Project for Young Audiences.

Ethnically Diverse Cast Required!



Casting for “March in the Parade: A Play With Music for Young Audiences” written by Edward Versailles with music by Harvey Kaiser, directed by AnnChris Warren.


Audition: Sunday, April 24 at A.S.K. (97 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401.)
Sign-in from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Please prepare an up-tempo song (Please note that the score for “March” is in a jazz style.)

A photo and resume are preferred but not necessary


Six adult actors over the age of 18 are needed (3F, 3M). Must be energetic and willing to play multiple characters. The leading characters are children--who will be played by adults. A cast breakdown is below.


This new hour-length show will rehearse in Kingston from late May through July. First performance will be at the Rosendale Theatre on July 30. A dramatic entertainment that is meant to raise questions about race in American society among elementary school age audiences, “March in the Parade” is designed to tour schools and arts centers in the Catskill / Mid-Hudson region. Some pay.
