Liz Estrada

Liz Estrata, a modern adaptation by Debra R. McGuire of Aristophanes' Lysistrata.

Director Marshall B Garrett seeks several actors, age 25 and up for this late summer adult comedy.

Liz Estrata and her friends are fed up with the ever growing effects of global warming. From illness to freakish weather to permanent frizzies they have had it and decide to resort to drastic measures to bring about a major change. Armed with their wit and feminine wiles they begin a battle of the sexes that can only end in laughter when they take over the auto manufacturers and close their bedroom doors for business until their men take up their cause.

Based on Aristophane’s original comedy, “Lysistrata” this adaptation brings his concept to a modern setting where everything from cigars and water guns to social media and the tango become weapons in this engaging war.

Casting for all roles is open. Ages noted are not firmly set.
