Musical Artists Theatre is seeking two actors to complete the cast of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, THE MUSICAL.
Fred, Scrooge's Nephew, late-teens to early 30s, baritone or tenor. This leading role has two solo songs and several important scenes, in addition to appearing with the ensemble throughout the show.
Mrs. Cratchit, 30 - 50, alto. Dramatic role with one major song, two key scenes and numerous ensemble appearances.
This acclaimed musical production of the Charles Dickens classic has been hailed for its faithfulness to the original book in both word and spirit, and the authenticity of its period costumes and scenery. The music is both challenging and accessible, including multi-part harmony, trios and quartets. The cast is multi-ethnic and multi-racial. The show is a South Baltimore tradition and sells out every performance.
Rehearsals begin October 14 and will be scheduled to accommodate the actors, primarily on weekday evenings. Production dates are December 12 - 21, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees. Location is Riverside Stage, 1530 Battery Avenue, Baltimore, 21230.
