Three seminal works of Debussy, Ravel and Stravinsky are reenvisioned by Malaysian dancer and choreographer, Datuk Ramli Ibrahim. Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Scheherazade and The Firebird represent a tapestry of romantic and transcendent encounters with the strangely exotic in both dance and music. Datuk Ramli Ibrahim, familiar to Malaysians not only for Indian classical dance but also for his pioneering contemporary dance forays, choreographs to these well-known compositions. Datuk Ramli's choreography, inspired by Asian dance vocabularies will take the audience on a quintessence journey where the colours and movement of Asian modern dance are infused with exalted sounds of these great composers.
