One of Broadways all-time triumphs, starring Becca McCoy!Regarded by many theater professionals as the greatest musical ever created, Gypsy is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters successwhile secretly yearning for her own. Set all across America in the 1920s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born, Arthur Laurents landmark show explores the world of two-bit show business with brass, humor, heart, and sophistication.The celebrated score by Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim boasts one glorious hit after another, including: Let Me Entertain You, Some People, Youll Never Get Away from Me, If Momma Was Married, All I Need Is the Girl, Everythings Coming Up Roses, You Gotta Get A Gimmick, Small World, and Together Wherever We Go.Music Directing the production will be Karen (Moor) Yelaney, who was the original Baby Louise with Ethel Merman on Broadway. Her talented daughter, Megan Yelaney, who was last seen in TheatreZones Baby, will play Gypsy Rose Lee. Mark Danni and Karen Yelaney had worked together in New York before Mark moved to Naples. We are also thrilled to announce that TheatreZone fan favorite Becca McCoy (last seen as Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood) will portray the iconic roll of Mama Rose.

MATILDA JR Comes To Cape Coral This Weekend
April 26, 2021MATILDA JR is coming to the stage at the Cultural Park Theatre in Cape Coral this Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2. There will be 2 shows each day at 2 PM and 6 PM. Melody Lane Performing Arts Center is proud to present this show. The center will also be taking an excerpt from the show to the Junior Theater Festival in Texas in June.
