ALBERT EINSTEIN
Male, 66. Caucasian. Creative, intelligent and soft-spoken. An enigmatic genius and celebrity scientist. He prefers solitude and immersing himself into elaborate constructions and thought problems over social interactions. He appears aloof to many, but his concentration is his work. Einstein always felt out of place at social gatherings and with friends and family. Forgetful and absent-minded, he always preferred solitude to familial interactions.

MARGARET HARDING/LIESERL
Female, 43. Caucasian. Einstein’s abandoned daughter. Feels rejected and bitter. Deep sense of connection to her adoptive family.

HELEN DUKAS
Female. 52. Caucasian.

CHRISTMAS ON THE ROCKS

Man
CAST. 40s, character actor who must be able to play multiple Christmas characters who have now aged. They must be able to go from one very distinct character from another and must have great comic timing.

Woman
CAST. 40s character actor who must be able to play multiple Christmas characters who have grown up. The actor must be able to go from one very distinct character to another and must have impeccable comic timing.

Bartender
CAST. Male 60s-70s character actor. He must be the straight man for a lot of jokes, but also be able to communicate directly to the audience with subtle, simple looks. He is willing to go on whatever journey the patrons of his bar take him on. He is a great listener and must be impeccable at giving the stage over to the other two actors without distracting.

SUNSET BABY

NINA
Black woman. Late 20’s. Hard, quiet power, deeply guarded, and nonetheless brilliant. Has a lifetime of walls up and will fight you before letting them down. Were she an animal, she’d be a dangerous panther. A robber and drug dealer, but in another life could lead a righteous revolution.

KENYATTA
Black man. 50’s . Strong, quiet power, also deeply guarded. Almost a duplicate of Nina, except he has lost the hardness and is now navigating a softer version of himself. Riddled with guilt and desperate to break through Nina’s walls...and his own. A former political prisoner and Black revolutionary. Nina’s estranged father.

DAMON
Black or Latino man, 30’s. Broad, street smart, intelligent, and a drug dealer and robber. Has lost his hardness and is on the brink of retiring from the game. Nina’s partner-in-crime and boyfriend. Not a stereotype. A true, genuine soon-to-be o-g. In another life, could be a helluva scholar..

As Mom, loud Jewish mother. Female cooks, etc. played as written. Must be heavy. Rossi's mom was 250 to 300 lbs.

DAD/NIKO/MALE COOKS, BOSSES & FRIENDS
Rossi's Jewish father, grumpy. Male cooks, etc. played as written. When playing NIKO, he has a Slovenian accent.
