APPOINTMENTS

There is no pre-scheduled sign up for audition times. Members of the Actors Equity Association will be given priority but non-union actors are welcome and will be seen as time permits.

CONTRACT

SPT $684/wk + health/pension/lodging/travel

SEEKING

Equity actors for 3 available roles. 1 role has been cast, but actors will be considered for possible replacements if needed. See breakdown.

PREPARATION

Please bring a headshot/resume and prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue for the audition. Sides will be available at the audition should we request a read. BREAKDOWN

[VICTOR FRANZ] male, mid 40s to early 50s. Victor is a police sergeant who is eligible for his retirement. He is smart, non-confrontational, responsible and unhappy with the life into which he settled.

[ESTHER FRANZ] female, mid 40s to early 50s (same age as Victor). Victor’s wife, Esther has shared in the financial turmoil Victor has endured as he cared for his aging father. She believes that money will be their salvation, and hopes to make a fortune from selling the furniture. Esther shows signs of alcohol dependency, for which she has been seeing a doctor.

[GREGORY SOLOMON] Furniture dealer, a vibrant near-90 year old. Russian-Yiddish accent. Must have emotional depth as well as comic timing.

[WALTER FRANZ] male, 50s. Walter is the successful older brother who has been absent for years. Walter is smart, successful and commanding. This role has been cast. Actors will be considered for possible replacement
