Actors for the following roles in the season: Elle Woods (Legally Blonde); Eva, Che, Peron (Evita); Guy, Girl, Baruska, Svec (Once)
PREPARATION
Please prepare two contrasting songs in the style of shows from the season. 16-32 bar cuts. An accompanist will be provided.

BREAKDOWN
LEGALLY BLONDE
Elle Woods, female, 21-25, any ethnicity - Vocal Range: Gb2-G5 Soprano Belt; Elle is a very bubbly college-age girl (“valley-girl”) who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality; lovable, determined, vulnerable, energetic and outgoing; a true triple threat (tap dance skills are a plus); must be comfortable handling dogs and be willing to be/become blonde.
EVITA
Eva Duarte Peron, female, 20-33, latinx Vocal Range: Mezzo with strong Belt, E3-G5. Must be able to play 20 to 33 years of age while projecting both a toughness and charisma. She is a beautiful, ambitious and power-seeking woman, who rises to become the spiritual leader of Argentina by the age of 26. She is also a woman of few options, who uses her sexuality to build power. Must be a passionate and strong actor who dances.
Che, male, 25-40, latinx Vocal Range: Rock tenor who sing legit as well, A3-Bb5; Che will play Che as the “Everyman” in this production. This character is dashing, impulsive, jealous, and manipulative. Che is the dissenting voice of the Descomisados (the Peron Supporters). He is the narrator of the show and cynical critic of Evita, a radical who isn’t reluctant to ask tough questions and demand answers. Must dance.
Peron, male, 40s-50s, latinx Vocal Range: Legit Bariton with powerful voice, A3-F#5 ; An officer in the Argentinean army who rises to become the Argentine President. He is a man who is dignified, charming, and authoritative. A strong actor and singer who can play character/leading man. Must dance.
ONCE
Guy, male, 25-35, any ethnicity Vocal range: G2 to C#5; Irish-born. A struggling musician who works with his father in a vacuum repair shop. He is brooding but charismatic with extreme appeal. Bari-tenor with a rock/folk voice. Speaks with an Irish accent. Must play guitar. Disclaimer: Character engages in costume change in view of audience.
Girl, female, 25-35, any ethnicity Vocal range: C4 to G3; Czech-born. Direct, intelligent, and witty with a no-nonsense attitude. Doesn't want sympathy from others. Mezzo-soprano with a rock/folk voice. Speaks with a Czech accent. Must play the piano.
Baruska, female, 50-69, any ethnicity. Vocal range: G3 to C5; Czech. Girl’s mother. A caring woman with few inhibitions. Speaks with a Czech accent. Accordion and e concertina a plus.
Svec, male, 25-40, any ethnicity Vocal range: B2 to G#4; Czech-born. An eccentric guy who spends most of his time watching television and drinking coffee. Speaks with a Czech accent. Must play drums. Banjo, mandolin, and guitar a plus. Disclaimer: Character removes trousers on stage.
