SEEKING

Equity actors. All roles available.

Seeking NYC based and local New Canaan CT area actors (actors who reside within 50 miles of the theatre or who have local housing preferred)

PREPARATION

Prepare 2 contrasting 16-bar selections from or in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist provided. May be asked to wait or return to demonstrate dancing skills, read sides; be prepared to move as part of your audition. More info at: stonc.org

25-30s (Actor, Singer, Dancer) Leading Man. Charming, witty, Hollywood Dancer - strong tap).

Kathy Selden:
19-28 (Actress, Singer, Dancer) Young, upcoming actress. Strong willed, smart. Don Lockwood’s love interest. (Singer - Mezzo with mixed belt to C and legit to E, Dancer - strong tap

Cosmo Brown:
25-30s (Actor, Singer, Dancer) Don’s wacky best friend and film studio’s head musician. (Actor - strong comedic timing, Singer - Tenor to Ab, Dancer – strong tap, pianist a plus).

Lina Lamont:
30-40 (Actress, Singer) Glamorous silent screen film actress with a brash and obnoxious personality and a high-pitched, nasal voice. (Actress with comedic timing, Singer - Character Voice, Mezzo or Soprano, range C4 to Eb).

R.F. Simpson:
40+ (Actor) Louis B. Mayer type. Head of the film studio.

Roscoe Dexter:
40+ (Actor) High strung, frustrated studio director. Comedic timing.

Zelda Zanders: Flapper socialite actress, Lina’s best pal and informant

Olga Mar: Exotic star

Mary Margaret: Mary Pickford type, dating a sugar daddy

Sid Phillips: Flamboyant Director of musicals
