All actors except Rachel and Lloyd play multiple characters. For actors where ASL is included, experience is a plus but not required.

Rachel Fitzsimmons:

Our heroine. Late 20s-30s. Although accommodating and naïve she’s smart. Even in the face of the surreal events that send her on her journey, she faces the world with humor and optimism. She is a survivor. (learns sign language in the course of the story).

Tom/Tom Jr.:

Male, late 20s-30s Rachel’s husband. Remote, though ultimately likeable. Though he’s hired a hitman to kill Rachel on Christmas Eve, he does try to save her. This actor will also play their Son- Tom Jr. as a college student and the man in the ski mask.

Lloyd:

Male, 30s-40s. Rachel’s savior (for a time) and a physical therapist. Devoted to his deaf-mute, wheelchair bound girlfriend- Pooty. Sensible and caring though masking the pain of his past. (this character does basic American Sign Language)

Pooty:

Female, 20s-30s. Lloyd’s girlfriend. Though wheelchair bound and pretending she’s deaf and mute for disability benefits, she has a good heart and sense of humor although she is more than what she appears. (this character does basic American Sign Language) Also plays extremely angry Talk Show Guest.

Trish:

Female. Any age. A Christmas-hating bookkeeper at the charity organization Rachel works at. Has a big secret. Also plays Woman Patient.

Doctors One Through Six:

Female. Any age. Versatile actor who can differentiate 6 different therapists.

Roy/Tim Timko/Talk Show Host:

Male. Any age. This actor plays the pleasant yet clueless supervisor at a charity organization (Roy), the energetic host of a game show (Tim Timko) and a slightly pretentious talk show host.

Take the R to 9th St. or the F to 4th Ave. in Brooklyn. The “R” can be accessed at the Pacific/Atlantic station in Brooklyn which is served by the 2,3,4,5,N,B,D and Q trains from Manhattan.
